Before uploading, check that the passport scan:

  • Is clear, readable and of high quality.
  • Shows the full bio page, including the MRZ code.
  • Has no missing corners or visual obstructions.
  • Shows at least 6 months of passport validity from the arrival date in Oman.

Ensure the photograph:

  • Is free from filters or digital edits.
  • Clearly shows the applicant’s face.
  • Have a light-coloured background.

FAQ: What if the submitted scans are blurry, heavily edited, or have shadows? 
Oman visa support will contact the applicant for resubmission. 

Additional Requirements for the Oman GCC Resident eVisa Applicants 

Anyone applying for the Oman GCC Resident eVisamust hold valid residency in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, or the United Arab Emirates and must also submit a scanned copy of BOTH the documents mentioned below:

  • What if the profession is missing from the GCC visa and residence card? 
    The profession must be clearly visible for the application to be accepted.
  • My GCC residency expires in 5 months, but I am only staying in Oman for a weekend. Can I still apply? 
    The residence permit must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Oman.

  • Can the applicant submit ANY of these documents? 
    The applicant is required to submit scanned copies of BOTH these documents, along with their passport biopage and photograph. 
  • Can the applicant submit eVisa instead of a visa?
    Only regular visas are accepted for document submission, not an eVisa.

Additional Requirements for Short Transit eVisa Applicants

Along with the 2 documents required for all eVisas, applicants also need to provide:

  • Copy of GCC Residence Card
  • Letter Explaining Purpose of Visit

  • The letter must clearly state your purpose of visit and reason for travel, including your full name, passport number, nationality, and other relevant travel details.
  • Cover your transit details: travel route, destination, and any stopovers. Sign it before submission.
